The popular gay dating app Hornet helps queer initiatives from countries with repressive and homophobic legislation reach new audiences. The Hornet team has supported Parni+ media and shared information about us with Russian users by publishing a feature about our outlet on their platform.
The Hornet app was created to bring people together and provide space for communication, support, and access to vital information. In this spirit, the team regularly supports projects working for the LGBTQ+ community and agreed to help Parni+ by amplifying our voice and visibility.

Hornet has previously taken part in initiatives focused on the health of LGBTQ+ people. As part of the HIV/AIDS awareness campaign “Code 103,” the service informed Russian users about Safe Box kits for at-home rapid HIV testing. The goal of that campaign was to reduce stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV within the community and to make caring for one’s own health a norm and everyday habit.
